GED Math Practice Test

Are you wondering what to expect on the GED Math test? The GED® Math Test is divided into two parts and assesses your ability to solve mathematical problems and interpret charts, tables, and graphs.

The GED® Math Test is 90 minutes long - 45 minutes for each part - and features 80% multiple-choice questions and 20% constructed answers. Rather than selecting from multiple-choice answers, constructed answers require you to label points on a grid or write answers in a blank.

The content of the GED Math test breaks down as follows:

  • 20 - 30% Number Operations and Number Sense
  • 20 - 30% Measurement and Geometry
  • 20 - 30% Data Analysis, Statistics, and Probability
  • 20 - 30% Algebra, Functions, and Patterns

It's critical to remember that most people who don't pass all sections of the GED® Test on the first try, fail the Math Test.  That is, more people fail the Math Test than any other section of the GED®.  Study math!!!
